Kirk has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of eVent Medical since November of 2006. Previously, Kirk founded and managed Newport Medical Instruments, Inc. (a ventilator manufacturer in Costa Mesa, CA) for 18 years as their President and CEO.

He has been a long-time participant in the ventilator care industry in the US and various international markets as an entrepreneur and visionary with his passion in developing user-friendly and cost-effective medical devices, assuring patient safety and best clinical efficacy.

Kirk has a BS Engineering degree from Seikei University, College of Technologies in Japan and an MS degree from Middlebury College in VT, USA.
